A number of things have happened in the last few days.
1. We have filed our response to UC’s request for Demurrer. It is very convincing, even without knowing what all the precedents statutes, etc. mean.
2. We have responded to UC’s Request for Judicial Notice of a couple of documents UC submitted purporting to show that UC did nothing wrong so our case should be thrown out. We took the oportunity to introduce modification 42 (thanks Dick Epps) showing that LLNS started planning to modify our medical benefits before they tried to patch the contract to make their efforts legal.
3. The judge has denied UC’s request to declare our case “complex”, which is to our advantage in avoiding complexities and keeping our current judge who is considered by some to look favorably on retirees.
